The Cedarville Rock History
The Rock has been a Cedarville tradition since 1978. It was initially placed near the Tyler Digital Communication Center, but was eventually moved near Cedar Lake between the Stevens Student Center and Dixon Ministry Center.
Unwavering Faithfulness
Daniel Kinniburgh’s faith journey began early and carried him from a small town in the west to Cedarville, Ohio, to Vietnam and back. Dan was in grade school when a missionary from Pennsylvania started pastoring a church in the small Montana town where Dan was from. Dan and his family began attending Pastor Warner’s church, and they came to know the Lord. Pastor Warner’s children went to Cedarville College at the time, and Dan later followed their example.
“The Giver” to Premiere Homecoming Weekend
For its fall mainstage production, the Cedarville University theatre department will perform “The Giver,” the award-winning book by Lois Lowry, adapted for the stage by Eric Coble.

A First: Cedarville University Surpasses 5,000 Enrollment
For the first time in Cedarville University's 135-year history, more than 5,000 students are enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, and online programs. The 2022-23 enrollment of 5,082 is an increase of 367 students, or 7.8%, from last year's record 4,715 enrollment, and it represents the positive momentum that is taking place at Cedarville University.
Called to Care
As a 16-year-old, Jeff Bates worked in a small grocery store in Gladwin, Michigan, his hometown. This store had a small drug store called the Prescription Shop, and Jeff was inspired by its pharmacist’s service to the community. This pharmacist offered himself to the community, and that greatly inspired Jeff to pursue pharmacy in the same way.
